As beautiful as these pictures are, those of you not lucky enough to be in Minnesota right now are not seeing the full glory of the beauty of nature right now. It is SO MAGNIFICENT.

These pictures are wonderful, but trust me when I say they really can't do nature justice - and that is not in any way belittling the photos, I am sure Calandria will agree - it is just impossible to totally capture the awe-inspiring beauty on film (although Calandria's photographic talents FAR outweigh my attempts in the last few days!)

I'm out of words to describe the beauty which is our world right now! I just gaze around me and give thanks.

The other day I washed the car in my shirt sleeves because it was a balmy 39 degrees, (I was wearing a hat though.) It is amazing how the body acclimates to cold. Whenever I step outside and curse the chilly wind, I stop and think "wait this could be hot and sticky weather," bring on the cold!Come March I'll be singing a different tune, but for now send that snow our way baby!

Okay, I hate the cold, but those are some amazing photos. I do love that kind of snow. It is much prettier than the dirty, sandy, salty piles I saw on the side of the road driving between Boston and Baltimore this week!

I have'nt seen snow in ages. I remember the day after an ice storm when the sun shown through all the ice covered trees and it looked like glass. Although I do like those days I hate the cold.

One of my best Christmas memories was with Shawn in Florida. We sat in the sun looking over the ocean with cool drinks in our hands and someone asked if we missed the white christmases? We looked at each other and started to laugh, Mom had just called and said she had to scrape ice off the car after carefully walking on the ice covered walk without braking her neck...nope we didn't miss that at all.
