you could knock me over with a feather

I just wanted to point out that my husband has commented on my blog. First time ever. I have been blogging for going on four years and the man has never left a comment. I should post about socialism more often.

In other J news, he spoke at a funeral today for the first time. He was really nervous. After he spoke, an eighty-six-year-old woman who, let me tell you, has been to a number of funerals in her life, came up to him and told him that was the best talk at a funeral she'd ever heard. I must say it was pretty good.

What a great picture of the two of you!

And yes. I ran out as soon as it was over to collect my kids, but loved J's talk. I thought he did an extraordinary job. Well done!

:) My husband rarely comments-maybe 5 times in 2 1/2 years.

I enjoyed going back and reading the comments from yesterday-interesting. You should read the book I posted on my site yesterday-the Geography of Bliss- it goes into what you were talking about in your last comment, about how some countries are more inclined to value the good of the whole rather than the individual. I think you would like it. Guapo is reading it right now and he sits and laughs out loud.

I'd be stressed giving a funeral talk too-you woulnd't want to give a so-so talk! Glad it went well. :) Have a great day.

Thanks, Michelle. Beautiful organ playing, btw.

Gabs, that Geography of Bliss book totally jumped out at me. I'm going to read it soon so I can maybe recommend it for our book group.
