I wrote 1107 words today. Do I deserve a bowl of ice cream?

Actually, J does. He took all of the kids to church tonight, leaving me with free writing time. I was able to write nearly 700 words in the last two hours.

This is a very rough draft and I would never show it to anyone in its current form. But it's happening, folks!

Good for you! What are you writing again? Fantasy?

BTW--I read the sequel to Sea Trolls, can't remember what it was titled now...did you like it? I was glad I read it to complete the story.

Oh! The Land of the Silver Apples.

Yes, it is another historical fiction/fantasy but this time in a more accessible place and time period.

We did listen to Land of the Silver Apples on audio book. I liked it, but not as much as Sea of Trolls.

That's what is was! I got interrupted the other day visiting your blog and I kept thinking..."I was going to go back and say something..." but I couldn't ever remember what it was.

But I just did-

Great job on your writing! Have you gone to the library and seen the place on the shelf where your finished product will be sitting? :)

Library, Meg? How about the bookstores! So glad you are able to find time to follow your dream. You are an inspiration C!

Sorry, Calandria...absolutely the bookstores - that's a given. :)

...I was on my way to the library when I chimed in so that's what I mentioned.

How many pages do you think it will be? Are you shooting for a general number?

You guys are too funny.

Word count for YA is usually in the 40,000-60,000 range.
